Football

Points are calculated based on the number of players who have crossed home plate. One team hits while the other pitches and plays in the outfield. After so many strikes, they change places. The field is shaped like a diamond and is made of grass and earth. There are 9 players on each team.
Softball
Softball is a lot like baseball. It is played with a bat and a softer version of the baseball. Softball uses the same field as baseball and has the same rules, although softball often has additional bases called safe bases. Safe bases are so that first baseman and runner do not collide with each other during the game. You will typically see these bases in girls ‘softball and kids’ softball games. Points are also calculated based on the number of players who have crossed home plate. After so many strikes, teams switch places from the outfield to hitting.
Basketball
This is also a competitive team sport. It is played with a large round ball and a hoop or basket. The object of this game is to get the ball into the hoop more times than the other team. Every time the ball enters the ring, points are scored. The value of the points depends on where the player is when he throws the ball to the hoop. The court is flat, solid ground with baskets or hoops at each end. There are courts of different sizes depending on who is playing. The regulation size of the court is 94 feet by 50 feet.
