3 internal cleaning tips

Anyone who has had builders or repairmen around the house knows that it is not always a pleasant experience. A very early morning appointment led to a very rushed guy fixing my dishwasher. He apparently was in such a hurry that he didn’t have time to make himself a cup of tea before he came. Right after I let him in, he asked me for one: “Any chance for a cup of tea, miss?” He then proceeded to enter the guest bathroom. Apparently he didn’t have time to do that at home either, and he was in such a hurry to fix the dishwasher that he didn’t flush the toilet either. Wonderful. So, in hopes of avoiding similarly awkward situations, here are some expert tips for choosing the right (and polite) end of leasing and carpet cleaning companies.

Hidden Fees #1: As the old saying goes, “if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.” When you call London pet cleaning companies, ask about hidden fees, minimum booking charges, and late/cancellation penalties. A little common sense goes a long way here, so if you find an end-of-lease cleaning of your three-bedroom townhouse for £80, you’re likely to be fleeced.

#2 Guarantees: Don’t pay until the job is done. Many companies require cash or check on arrival, or ask to keep your credit card details on file. Don’t part with your money until you get what you paid for and are satisfied with the job. Find a company that will guarantee their services, especially for end-of-lease cleaning, and accept payment only after the job is done. It is very common among builders and carpet cleaning companies that once they have the money in hand, they are good to go, whether the job is finished or not.

Insurance #3 – Many home carpet cleaning clients have ended up with shrunken or damaged rugs or furniture with no compensation in sight. Look for companies with full public and private liability insurance. Get a copy of your policy faxed or emailed to you if you want to be really sure. Ask them about their past history and what they do if they damage your rugs or other property. In the event that something goes wrong, you may have to chase them down to correct it. Choosing a good company to start with will help minimize the chance of something going wrong and ensure that it is fixed immediately if it does.
