Method 1. Run the Microsoft troubleshooter

Microsoft’s troubleshooter is Windows built-in program that can help you fix the update error in the simplest way.

Step 1- Type Troubleshooting in the search box.
Step 2- Once it opens, select View All.
Step 3- Select the Windows Update option.
Step 4- Click Next to continue.
Step 5: Then, click on the option Try troubleshooting as administrator (if applicable).
Step 6- Select the Windows Update option again.
Step 7- Click Next to start the troubleshooting process.
Step 8: Click Close.

Restart your computer and try installing again. And you will see that the error is resolved.

Method 2- Delete update folder

When you upgrade your Windows operating system, all new downloaded files are stored in the folder (C: Windows SoftwareDistribution).

Step 1- Press Win + R to open the Run box and then type the following command> OK.
services.msc
Step 2- Find Windows update service> Right click> Stop.
Step 3- Close the window and you’re done.

Method 3: download Windows updates manually

Step 1- Navigate to the Windows 10 download site. Open it and click the Update Now button.
Step 2- Click to run the “Windows10Upgrade9252.exe” file. Click Save.
Step 3- Click Update Now.

Method 4- Repair system files

Step 1- Open command prompt as administrator.
Step 2- Type the following command and hit Enter

SFC / SCANNOW

Step 4- When the scan is complete> install the Windows 10 Fall Creators update again.
