How to cook corn on the cob

There are actually several different ways to cook corn on the cob, and in this article I will discuss three of them. Depending on how you cook your corn, your corn will have several different flavor possibilities.

The most common way to cook corn on the cob is to simply boil it. First, you need to completely remove the husk from the corn, leaving none of the original husks. The leaves can get into the water and spoil the taste of the corn. Once this is done, boil some water deep enough so that the corn can float in the water without hitting the bottom. Place your corn in water once it starts to boil, place your corn in the boiling water. After about five minutes, remove the corn. Then add butter and salt to taste.

Another common way is to use the microwave oven. Since the microwave oven tends to dry out anywhere inside it, you will need to moisten the corn well before placing it inside. Place your corn in a bowl of water completely submerged and then put some kind of weight on top so that it is completely submerged. Leave your corn for about fifteen to twenty minutes. After this, you can delete it. Now, you will have to wait for it to cool down before peeling the corn. Once you’ve done that, your corn is ready to eat.

A really fun way to cook corn is to grill or roast it. Cooking on the barbecue requires you to moisten the corn using the exact same technique as when cooking in the microwave. Once the corn is hydrated, you can put it on top of your barbecue. Roasting corn is actually quite time consuming, as the husk protects the corn very well. Cover your barbecue to keep warm and turn the corn every five minutes or so. In fact, you want the husk to burn, because it is much colder inside where the kernels are. Once the shell is half black, the beans should be done (barbecues are so different that I can’t give a suggestion in time here). Wait for the corn to cool, remove it and enjoy the smoky flavor.
