Downtown Las Vegas Vs Las Vegas Strip

People have asked the question: What is the difference between the Las Vegas Strip and downtown Las Vegas? Well, they are very different from each other. Las Vegas Blvd is one of the most famous streets in the world; There are casinos like the Venetian, the Wynn and the Mandalay Bay, to name a few. The newest and most popular casinos line the Strip, and if you love sightseeing, this is where you should be. You can catch a show, see attractions like the Stratosphere Tower or Madame Tussauds wax museum, or hit one of the many famous nightclubs like Coyote Ugly or the Playboy club, not to mention there are shops to buy from all of them. Around the world, a buffet in almost every world-renowned casino and restaurant along the Strip.

Downtown Las Vegas is “old school” Vegas. I’m not saying old school is bad. This is where the serious, budget-conscious bettors can be found. The table limits are lower and there are a large number of slot machines and video poker. There are more nickel slot machines in downtown Las Vegas than in the entire state. The Golden Nugget graces downtown, and every night you can step out of the casinos and see a light show called the Freemont Street Experience. The laid-back vibe of downtown isn’t like the action that takes place on the Strip, but if you want to experience all the glitz and glamor, the Strip is just a cab ride away. No matter what happens, you are sure to find incredible deals all over Las Vegas, whether you are in the center of the city or on the Strip.
